I came across what was painted like a '67 326 HO convertible, but after checking the numbers, it is not an HO, but it is a true numbers matching 326 4 speed convertible, per the PHS documentation. It has been stored for the last 13 years, but it ran (though rough according to the now previous owner) when it was stored due to a leaking radiator. I got it dirt cheap (thanks Nick!), and am trying to get it going now. I have spark, and it fires, but I need to get a carb kit as the accelerator pump is not pumping. It sat with fuel in it that whole time, so now I have to figure out how to get rid of 16 gallons of old fuel. This car is in really decent shape, with a solid body, no rust on the exterior, though the trunk has a couple of holes. It even has all the cocktail shakers! I haven't decided what to ultimately do with it yet, as I have a very nice '67 400 4 speed convertible, but I just couldn't pass this up. I may just keep it for a driver, or I may have it done up right. All it cost me was the check, and new kitchen and living room floors for my wife! I hope the pics post, the last time I tried it didn't work.

Drove her down the road for the first time today - didn't go far. A bit scary - needs tires terribly, bad front end shake over 50. I replaced the heater core - took the fender off to reach the heater motor bolts, and had numerous issues getting it back together. Had to loosen the front body mount bolt to get the inner fender to bolt up - tightened that last. I also had major issues getting the correct heater core. Both Advance Auto and O'Reilly's had a listing, but it was the same wrong part from both. It looks like their listing for a 1968 Nova is the right one, and Classic Industries had that one listed for the Firebird also, and it was correct. But I lost 3 weeks in ordering parts and getting wrong ones. Once I had the new heater core, radiator, points, plugs, sucked out the stale fuel, rebuilt the carburetor, it popped right off and purred like a kitten. No adjustments to the carb were required. I haven't checked the dwell and timing yet, but I will. It was a great day Saturday. Sold a house that day too (I'm also a small time real estate investor besides my real job) so it really was a great day. I gotta get some better pictures of my twins to post.
