The build date, according to the order sheet was March 28 1968. The car had many options. I'm just glad my Uncle kept them all. The 8 track was very expensive for what it was. Can't wait to try it once all finished.
Here is the window sticker. Note, PHS as told me that since the car was sent to Canada, it would have received another window sticker from GM of Canada for the Canadian market and priced accordingly. So, based on the $3865.22 USD....that would have been at least $4165.63 CAD ($30,292.85 in 2018 dollars).
I'm sure there would have been shipping and freight costs added for sending from Ontario ( the GM hub) to Vancouver Island (Western Canada) where it was sold.
I bet my Uncle paid over $4500 CAD for the car. I also have the GMAC card that shows he paid it off by Jan 1971. I will keep that with the car.
By the way, I had asked in another thread regarding the correct tires. I have a pic of the car form 1971 showing white stripe tires. The car could have come with either white or red lines. However, the window sticker has confirmed what is came with....WSW F70/14 or "white stripe walls". Maybe this choice was based on the cars color and the fact it has white HO stripes..??.
