My car's previous owner replaced the front suspension components and added 2" drop spindles. It looks great, but I'm getting tire rubbing issues on road bumps and dips. I think raising the front 1" would do the trick and still look good (maybe even a little less). So, I was thinking of adding spring spacers. Maybe start with the cheap pop-or-twist-in type and, if I like the result, go to the donut style under the springs.
Thoughts anyone? Any issues with the combo of drop spindles and spacers together?
Twist in type spacers are useless. Don't waste your time or money.
I added 1/2" spacers to raise my front end an inch...because I like the look.
I have a pair of Global West 1 inch coil spacers if you're interested. Because of the geometry of the a-arms, these will raise your front end up about 1-1/2". I paid $52 for them...you can have for $25 plus shipping...if you want.
