Hi, I have a 69 with a floor auto transmission. The problem is I can't turn the ignition key into the lock position. Besides a bad ignition cylinder could there be something else causing the problem?
Others (with '69's) will likely follow with better details, but the '69 with a floor shift automatic tranny uses a rod between the steering column and the tranny to provide the locking feature. I am willing to bet that rod is bent or hung up.

X2 what Salmon38 said. Also, sometimes when the linkage to the column is worn/damaged you can try twisting the rotating part of the column (between ignition section and dash) to free it up.
My '70 Mustang had that same setup. I found out the hard way about it when I tried installing a Sun tach on the steering column and put the clamp on that moving collar. Tranny no shift after that.
