Pretty lame topic, but I wondering if anyone has had any luck removing black spots on their vinyl and what they used? My vinyl looks like it has the measles - I suspect its mildew or something.
I use AutoGlym leather care cream for my vehicles on leather and vinyl. The main thing is that it doesn't contain silicon. Products that do contain silcon can be damaging in the long run. This topic was covered a while back as well, have a look at this link and you'll get some other opinions on various products out there.
I used Tilex mold and mildew remover that I had in my bathroom, and it did a pretty good job. It's meant for use on vinyl shower curtains, so it should be safe for the vinyl in the car.
This may sound nuts but I had a 67 Lincoln Continental with a black top,my little brother 8 years old, tried to be nice and He waxed my car,Yes even the top!!!! I had pink wax that I could not get off the top to save my life. I Used shoe polish and the thing looked brand new and it lasted for a long time. I don't know how it will look on white.

There are products made to remove mold and mildew from vinyl on a boat or rv that work very well but I would be careful when using it because it may bleach your carpet, test a small area first. Pete
