I bought a pair of 1969 Brake Hose Straps for my Firebird. The description in the catalogs is "reproduction of the commonly damaged or missing 1969 brake hose to upper A arm attachment strap." Well mine are missing and I can't find out how the new ones are supposed to be installed. I've checked the shop manual and the assembly manual and can't seem to find this piece. It's straight with two holes and a tab on one end. I thought it would replace the clip around the hose that is bolted to the A arm on my car, but it would need to be bent to encircle the hose about where the middle piece of steel shielding is built into the hose. I doubt that I should have to bend it around the hose but I just can't figure it out. Anyone know how it should go? Thanks, Doug

They have to be bent around the steel sleeve on the brake hose like you are thinking.
