1968 Firebird 350 4bbl with MT. On the Illustrated parts manual drawing 2-14, there is a part listed as "SPACER, Dist. Vac. Valve to Manifold" and part group 2.420 but the part doesn't show up in the group listing.
Does anyone have a spare that I can buy? Know any vendors I can buy it from? Anybody have one and can give ID, OD, Height, material, and finish/coating info?
Thanks!
John
To err is human. To really foul things up takes a computer.
I couldn't find anything on this either. A couple of ideas Check with the Pontiac museum. they are very helpful. Also try used parts places to see if they have such a thing. It was probably used on more than the Firebird. If you can get access to a hollander interchange manual check out the listings for a Dist. vac valve. Maybe another gm brand used it which might make it easier to find.
Just got a reply in the for sale section. Looks like 3/4" dia x 3/4" long, with a 3/8" hole. All edges chamfered and made of mild steel. Will put the calipers to it and see if I can get exact dimensions for a hobbyist machinist to knock out a few.

Here’s what I found, AMD part #B-13191. I bought it from NPD, #9B461-1A, with another order. $5 either place +shipping. Although listed for a Mustang, it’s the correct size.
I had found something real close in my parts. It was about .83 inches. I put it on and it seems to have worked ok. I was wondering how close the length was. Pretty close it looks like.
I ordered the item you recommended. It fit well and was slightly shorter then what I had found. The item I found in my parts is pictured below. It worked good to. Not sure but it may have came from the heater box cables. Any ideas?
I don’t recognize it. When looking for the valve spacer, I found some spacers used for power steering. Maybe pump mount? I don’t have PS so I’m no help!
