I am looking for the vent portion that attaches to the firewall for the dash vents on either side of the car. I have a non A/C car. I've checked all of the usual classic parts outlets and none of them supply this part. I'm thinking I may canvas the salvage yards for this. any other suggestions?

I have some extra Astro vent parts left over from my 69 (non AC) I don’t need, and would be happy to give them to you, but not sure of which one you need. Been awhile since I’ve looked at the vents. Do you have a photo etc.?

Sorry I've been out of town this weekend. I haven't taken pictures yet. I have a non-air car. What I need is the section that attaches to the firewall and it extends into the fender area. It has the vent shut off flap inside it with the cable attached outside which goes to the pull knob that opens it. I need the driver's side unit.
I hope that clears it up for you. If needed I can send pictures.

No, it's located behind the glove box and the other is above the emergency brake. Like I said it's a non air-car.

I do have one of the set ups with the flap and the cable and the elbow but cant remember which side it’s goes to. Been busy this week but hope to be in the shop tomorrow. I’ll try to take another look.

Hey MSgt1993, finally got my hands on the Astro vent stuff. I have a complete passenger side setup that will need a minor repair. The drivers side is not complete and might not be worth repairing unless you find no other options, but is possible.
Let me know if needed, and they’re yours.
