Just call me stupid!!! I chipped my paint last night working on my rear axles and of course I'm not sure of the color. I was told once, but once again I was stupid and didn't write it down. My car was restored 14 years ago by someone else and they painted it a GM red which was not the original color. Does anyone know of a source for finding out the names of all GM colors? I think I'll remember it once I see the name. I've found a few web-sites but they are sorted by year and make and I'm not having much luck.

Go by the Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes store there in Columbus and they will have the old color decks for GM. You can flip through them and they can mix some touch up paint for you. If it is a custom color, then they have an electronic "Color Eye" that can be used to find the formula. PM me for more info - I can give you specific contacts.
