So I pulled my valve covers because gaskets were a little leaky . To my surprise I noticed the metal cover over the valve springs was broken off on 3 springs
I really hope I have retrieved the broken pieces...
Question is does this require a complete valve job and what might have caused this No current pic but these are on top of the spring

I had the same thing happen to mine I was told that the spring rate to much or that the springs may have been binding up. I was going to do a valve job anyhow so when I put it back together I just left the oil skirts out . They are suppose to be for better oiling for the for the valves , but most just leave them out .
