I have my steering wheel removed and the horn wire has never been attached. I’m trying to figure out how the wires from the buttons are suppose to attach to the horn cancelling cam. The one on there has a built in plunger but under no way for that to attach to the wire coming from the steering wheel. I have seen cancelling cams that don’t have the plunger built in but more of a twist lock feature where I could attach a wire assembly with a spring and a locking piece. This doesn’t seem how it was designed. Anyone have pics. This is for a deluxe steering wheel

Has anyone ever taken their deluxe steering wheel off? where does the wire from the horn buttons connect? This is what i/m trying to find out. does it connect to the canceling cam? If so how?

i guess maybe my question is confusing because i can't imagine no one has ever not taken a deluxe steering wheel off.
when you remove the horn cover, the wires that come from each horn button go to where?
if you look to the upper left of the attachment nut you will see where a plunger from the steering wheel cam protrudes from below.
how do the wires make contact to that button?

Had mine apart 12 years ago but having a hard time remembering how it made contact. The wire from one button connects with the wire of a second button the wire from there and the third button wire join together at the plunger. The plunger and the spring go into the tube in the canceling cam. The plunger is spring loaded to make contact when the wheel is turned. I think. Sorry no pics.
