I have some issues with my radiator support to interior fender that would make it a huge deal to disassemble that area on my 67. Wondering if something like this would be an option to get the subframe out.
In my case the rad support and inner fender are basically fused together. So I was thinking that dropping the frame might be an option. If one side is fused together in the red circle, is it still possible to remove the fenders, perhaps with one side remaining connected to the rad support? Otherwise doing so would likely cause me to have to buy a rad support, inner fender, or both.
Are the bolts seized in the clips if not take them out soak the area with penetrating oil of some kind let sit and try to work a screwdriver or small pry bar around the edges if that doesn’t work you might try some heat to heat it up nice and hot to try and expand the pieces to break rust free If that doesn’t work you might have to sacrifice one or the other You could cut one up and scab a piece back in after the fact My 69 I had to replace rad support the mount hole was rusted thur and sitting on sub frame Good luck
Ok. Thanks all for the input! I thought that dropping it this way would be easier but I’m hearing it’s not, even with a fender and radiator support issue. I’ll start searching for instructional posts or videos. If you know of any to help a first timer please let me know. Thanks
What’s the best way to disconnect the brake lines to remove the subframe? I’m guessing that wherever you remove them fluid will drain and leak all over, correct? Is it best to do this near the master cylinder or lower down?

Get some of these and you won't have to realign your fender and hood. Eastwood Pin Alignment System

If your car has a lot of corrosion don't be surprised if you end up breaking, stripping or twisting bolts etc. Things are 50 yrs old. In a lot of cases it will be better to assume your going to replace most of what you take off. Try to get OEM and/or NOS parts. They fit unlike most of the after market stuff. Not all after market is bad. New after market engine parts etc. are generally above average quality.
