How wide on the OEM aftermarket wheels. I was thinking 15/8" wheels to look the same Radial TA's 225 60 /15. thoughts

My thought is 'that's a nice looking Firebird!'

Standard wheel for 225/60 is 6.5" will fit on a 6" to 8' rim.
I have 235/60s on the front of my bird they fit the wheel nicely. Mine are 7" rims which is the standard size for 235/60 tires. I have 255/60s on the rear same 7' rally IIs as the front. Those fit and look good as well, Although 7.5" is the standard size for the 255s.

8" rims are the standard size for 275/60s.
I had more trouble getting tires not to rub than I did matching the tire to the wheel.

I don't seem to be able to find a pic of my bird with the BFG tires on after I did the suspension work but have one of the bird with Dayton 235/60R15s front and back.

I wouldn't change a thing. That's a good looking 400! If anything get a set of 15x7 rallys.
