Hello hope all are well. I need help advise with my 1968 front turn signals. They appear to be original and have a parking light or marker light and a turn signal total of two bulbs. My housings are pretty shot and the bulb sockets are temperamental. My question is will new housings with the single bulb plug and play or will I have to do some rewiring to the harness. I tried to search this topic but not getting any luck. Thank you any and all help is appreciated. Oh I haven't bought new housings because im not sure whats going on.
The dual bulb set up was early '68. I think pretty much the month of September, '67 builds only. The new housings should be easily swapped. But the new ones are single bulb set up. You would need to trim and cap the wires for the small bulb. If interested, I think I have a decent original set of the two bulb housings. I also have extra lenses, including NOS.

I have a two bulb on one side and a single bulb on the other, like that when I bought the car. The extra lamp on the one side was just taped up to some wires.
Thanks guys for the quick replies I think I’m going to get the newer single bulb housings and hopefully just cut off the wire as suggested im thinking the single bulb will maybe run brighter than the dual old style? Well maybe hopefully it does. Well doesn’t seem to hard and thanks for the guidance I’m not an idiot but nooo maybe I am when it comes to electrical stuff.
Wow, I think mine might have been changed over previously! I seem to recall extra wire that was taped off at the parking lamp when I pulled the fenders off. I just assumed someone tried to add running lights or something weird.
