I’d almost swear it’s factory but for the life of me I can’t think of why they would put a hole here. There’s no provision for a drain hose underneath. It’s be a stupid place to put it anyway. Anybody ever seen this before? 67 vert/ upper right side of trunk weatherstrip channel.
I don't think that is original. (90% sure?) I do not ever recall seeing a hole there after 20+ fgf's I've owned. But who knows, I still get surprised every now and then.

CB radio antennae. They come mounted on a magnet so you can place the antennae anywhere on the car. On verts they would go on the rear deck. The location of the hole enables the installation of the wire thru the existing trunk seal so no water leaks into trunk.

Good guess! Makes sense to me!

Hmmm. Could very well be. The only reason I say it looked like a factory hole to me is because it just clipped the upper edge of the channel and if I were to drill it by hand it seemed like it would kick the drill sideways and not put that little crescent indentation. But anything can happen. Didn’t seem like something the factory would do. Stupidest place to put a hole if you ask me. Just what you need to create another place for water to pour into the trunk. No wonder the pan was rotted out.
More mystery. There actually seems to be four of these holes. One near each corner of the trunk channel. Kind of rules out the CB antennae theory. My buddy said something about metal fingers fr the channel thought were meant to hold the rubber seal in place.
