Why would the original window guide plates now rub on my new glass? The glass mounting hardware is hitting the plates and not allowing the window to roll all the way up.

Only thing I can think of is (1) the length of the part is too long.. or (2) the window is still out of adjustment..

what part of the hardware is hitting the plate? the backside rounded part of the atachment screws are supose to rub on that plat to hold it in place when the window is up all the way.

Also, did you remove those plates? If so , are you sure you got the bottom lip of the plate over the metal piece on the door frame?

Yes, I did remove them about 10 years ago and I did not have them in correctly - Thanks!

Now, I still cannot get either side window to go down all the way - they stick up a good 1.5 in. Stops are loose. Any suggestions?
