I'm trying to find which pulley I need on my water pump to align all of my pulleys properly. I had been having cooling issues and I decided to upgrade to a higher flowing water pump but after buying one I found out I had the stubby nose water pump. My motor is a 400 supposedly out of a 70 GTO. I thought that pulley #9799130 was the correct one and after buying a used one off ebay that was supposed to be that it doesn't line up with the alternator or second crank groove. Attached are pictures of how it looks like. Does anyone who has that pulley mind taking measurements? The power steering lines up decently enough to run it but alternator belt is not even close. I'm not sure where to go from here. Any help would be awesome!
adding that the pulleys come in sets. It's important to get a matching set. Check the build manual for the different sets of part numbers. There's about 3-4 pages of different types based on the years and configurations. I had the same issue before, and got the right set of pulleys. Now the issue is gone. BLK69JUDGE can get you the right ones, get him the part numbers. He helped me many years ago.
