I could be wrong but I doubt it. How many hoods could they sell? I can't imagine two or more factories designing the dies and stamping equipment to make these which are pretty complicated to make. It's a safe bet that all the hoods come from the same Taiwan factory. That said, there may be varying quality. Sometimes you see cheap ones on e-bay and I wonder if those were ones the main catalog houses didn't want to sell and wholesaled them off to some e-bay seller. I buy everything I can from Ames. I think that your safest bet to get the best quality stuff.

Copy that with AMES for sure I may need one I did get a oem actual factory 400 hood for 125 and its in pretty good shape no rust slight bubbles on nose and 3 pings However except when it closes the underside hits the latch on the right side ( looking from front to rear) this moves the latch to the left before that opening is over the latch I know terrible description Its going into a shop next week they will let me know if the hood I got will work or if I will need one which I will purchase from ames

Buy the OEM one either way, $125 is cheap if it’s strait!

You sure it’s a 400 hood with the scoops? Nice originals go in the $500 range. Non 400 hoods can be had for free. I gave away my nice rust free 326 hood
