I was finally able to install the aftermarket door panel on the drivers side on my 69. Now it seems the interior panel is too thick to allow me to install the window crank. I mean I can't even get the crank to engage the window at all. Is there a trick to this?
The standard regulator extension is about an inch long. The extension for deluxe panels is 1 1/4". SO yes, if you want from standard panels to deluxe, the window cranks will not fit/work. I have two sets of deluxe regulators if anyone needs them. They are tough to come by.

A PHS report will tell you how the car came from the factory. Otherwise, just measure the grooved stud that the window crank slides over. If it measures about 1" long, then it is for standard interior. If it measures about 1 1/4" long, then it is set up for deluxe interior.

Not only are the window regulators different , so are the inside door handels. Which inside door handels do you have, the standard interior door handel will have a shaft like the window regulator?
