Thinking about getting a tilt wheel column but not sure about the length. I’ve seen a couple online that are 30 and 32 inch. My question is what points are they measuring from to determine the length. It’s going in a 68 and not sure what the standard length actually is

I have an original '67 tilt column. I measured a total length of 33.5 inches. That is from the end of the threaded steering wheel shaft to the end of the splined rag joint shaft.

I was getting 33" on my 1969 and did just order a tilt at that length. All the bigger name columns (flaming river, ididit) were showing the 69 as 33" as well if that helps. I will let you know how mine fits. I am a bigger guy and can steer with my thighs right now. I also got a 14" wheel to help. Just couldn't find a 13.5 I liked and the 13"s start looking like ATV wheels.
