Ok,
I swear I tried searching. I need to recondition or replace my dash pad. I see that OER is still out. Is Al Knock any better? Or should I send it to Justdashes and hope for the best?
Any help would or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I may be tempted to use mine as a buck nd build one out of fiberglass and cover to suit. But I already have topo many projects.

Al Knoch uses the same process as Just Dashes. I have not used them for a dash, but their other products are good.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. In my opinion if you have the money and are concerned about original fit/finish just dashes is the only way to go. I think if you look in the buyer beware section and other threads you will find many disappointed/mad customers when going aftermarket. And even if your not fussy The quality control is bad enough in most cases that getting a decent one can be a crap shoot.

I appreciate the feedback.
I have thought about using a local upholstery guy vas well. Just unsure on the final look. I am not going for a resto, just want a good look.

I hear you, I bought a 68 pad a couple of years ago for a spare from a local swap meet. It was redone by a local shop and looked excellent except for the ends where there were extra seams that showed. I'm pretty sure depending on the prices in your area you could save a bundle compared to just dashes if you just want a good look. In my experience you should check with at least two with the dash in your hand and make sure they know your expectations and can assure you they will meet them or redo it to get it right. And of course put it in writing. Then go with whoever gives you the fuzziest feeling.

I talked to a couple of my local guys about repair. Both were going to be expensive and the look wasn't going to blend with the rest of the car.
So, Just Dashes it is.

Dave If you are going with any color other than black, save yourself some money and tell them no paint, and get the vinyl dye and prep in the spray cans from Classic in the color of your interior and paint it yourself. That is what I did. You would think after spending over $500 they would paint it the color you need, they wanted to charge me $100 to paint it my color a few years ago. But other than that it is worth the money and wait for them to do it. I am lucky enough to save more money on shipping , as I live close enough to take mine in in person. Good luck
