What transmission is this( see photos) I removed from my 1967 Firebird. Thought it was a power glide but found paper work saying that they changed transmission to a 3 speed with shift kit but can’t find a transmission pan that matches this configuration. Thanks Jeff
Looks like the st-300 2 speed, Pontiacs version of the Powerglide. Also the easiest way 2 tell if a auto trans. is a 2 0r 3 speed when on the ground is to grab the lever and shift by hand you will feel the detents for either PNDL in the case of a 2 speed or PND21 if 3 speed.
That looks like a bop bolt pattern to me so st or super turbine 300. It will not bolt up to a Chevy motor and it has different internals then a powerglide. Just letting you know so that if you advertise to sell you won't waste yours and the buyers time.
If the terminal plug on the DS has 2 blades it's either for the switch pitch or TCS, depends on what year the tranny is. I'd check that out before I trashed it.
Its one terminal, but paperwork with car said a shift kit was installed. I guess its a really big paperweight! I did pickup a 350 3 speed so that’ll be installed Thanks Jeff
