Finally getting around to updating my stereo in a 69 convertible. Thoughts on speaker placement? I have four 6.5 2-ways and four tweeters I'm planning to use. Along with a mid-bass cabinet I will reupholster with matching vinyl in the back seats to look like an arm rest. Lastly a sub in the trunk to round out the setup. Not a huge setup, at about 600 watts.
I don't want to cut up the interior, so looking for suggestions on speaker placement. Doesn't have to sound great, just load enough to hear music from time to time with the top down.

You can google it for pictures, some good ideas out there, but most will include cutting up your interior. You can get upgraded front speakers and put them under the dash like the original and for the rear if you have a rag top they would go behind the seat. I ran wires to the back seat with quick disconnects to 2 boom boxes back in the day, leave them on the seat, that way you don't have to cut up your interior. It all comes down to personal preference..,..
