Going to list my firebird for sale within the next week. I am gathering the information and pictures for the listing. Here is the information I have so far. I will be updating this thread with the final version.
1968 Firebird Convertible – 400 engine and 400 turbo trans., 118,000 miles, PHS documented. 3.55 Eaton posi rearend per previous owner. I believe the motor and trans to be original, was able to match last 3 digits on the block to the VIN. Any and all inspections are welcomed and encouraged. Body-on restoration started in 2008 and completed in 2013. Way too many new parts to list, I have all part receipts. I have owned the car since 2006. Color was originally Vedoro Green, is now Autumn Bronze. Per PHS documents, car was sold in Michigan.
Car has power steering, tilt wheel, power front disc brake conversion using 69 Firebird calipers, power windows, hood tach, console clock. Many of these options were added by a previous owner.
Exterior – Convertible top has a few cuts, will be highlighted in the pictures. New doors, quarter panels, trunk lid, trunk pan, tail panel, inner and outer rockers, gas tank, wheels powder coated, then painted.
Engine – Hooker headers, exhaust system, fuel and brake lines, power brake booster
Interior – New floor, fronts seats recovered with new springs and foam, door and window seals, power top motor and lines.
Suspension – Front rebuilt with new shocks, springs, upper control arms, bushings, pins, tie rods.
Work needed – horn center , connect clock wire, new power window harness, all windows work, wiper motor needs rebuilt, quarter window trim
Have original parts - upper control arms, exhaust manifolds, brake booster, power top motor, extra rims.
Car has been appraised with a recommended listing price of $35,995, but will be asking $32,500.
