I talked with an an AMD rep, he said they had issues on the 1st ones released and the ones they sell now are good, I'll order one this Winter and see how it goes or doesn't.
I see good used factory ones a lot. You can also use ones from 69-72 GM X-Bodys (Nova, Ventura, Apollo, ect.) You can also use ones from 73-74 X-Bodys, but will need little modifications to bolt in. Be a lot cheaper than aftermarket, unless you are wanting to road race it
I looked at couple of used ones here in the Midwest, prices ranged $300 to $700, each needed some repair. I'm not going going to road race, but the OEM units weren't made that well to begin with.
My subframe is pretty bashed up. I was thinking of one day going with the repop subframes. I was waiting to see what people’s opinions were. Let us know!
I was under my car today and noticed the subframe has no rust or pitted / thin spots, they only issue is it's beat up in the middle from a floor jack or the roads, I may try and fix that, not sure though.
