Hey members I have a 67 Firebird with mono leaf springs and want to convert to 3 leaf springs. Has anyone used these leaf springs part #21-245R that are a replacement for mono springs using the same perches. Did you use t-bolts or switch to u-bolts and what size of u- bolts? Thanks!

I purchased a very original 67 400 and one of the few things that was changed by the previous owner was replacing the original monoleafs with multileafs. I wish they hadn’t of done it. You have to use shackles with the multileafs which forced them to bend the original brake lines away from the differential and from under the stock brackets. The emergency brake cable no longer goes into the original bracket. The stance of the car looks no different than cars with monoleafs. I will probably replace them with replacement reproduction monoleafs.
1967 Firebird 400 Convertible Montreux Blue/Light Blue top/Black interior. Maybe one of one color combination, if not, one of very few.

I just finished removing a 69 rear with multileafs and putting in a 67 setup with monos in my 67 vert. It’s nice to have everything fit together the way it’s supposed to. Stiffer ride but it corners much better. 2 traction bar setup
