Gents,

Taking possession of a my 67 firebird today. I had a body completely rebuilt down in West Palm Beach as Resurrection Muscle Cars. Here's the quick synopsis of what I have going on:
-67 Body (coupe) with 400 hood
-LSX454
-Tremec (TKX) 5 Speed
-14" Baer disc brakes
-Detroit Speed hydroformed subframe
-Detroit Speed quadralink
-9" shortened rear end
-Detroit Speed mini tubs.
-Vintage Air

The body is assembled with gapping dialed in for everything except the front fenders/hood. The DSE subframe is mounted/aligned, quadralink mounted, rear-end mounted. It's basically a roller. Subframe connectors are installed (bolted, not welded). The bottom of the car has been coated already.

That said, I'm getting started this week and want to do the bulk to remaining work myself (minus the paint prep/painting). The shop owner advised that I immediately get the EDP coating off the panels and hit it with epoxy primer as the moisture in the NC air will get below the EDP coating and start to rust the panels. That's my first task. After that, I'm told I need to fit all the trim before I finalize gapping on the fenders/hood.

So with that being said, what trim does that include? Shop owner mentioned the window trim. I'm going with a black on black theme here and don't want traditional chrome trim. The shop owner mentioned using oversized glass and just eliminating the trim. He also mentioned cutting off the drip rails if I was not installing trim. This advise may be more clear to me once I'm actually looking at the car.

I guess what I'm looking for from you knowledgeable folks is the rough checklist of what I should expect to tackle before this car should head of to body prep/paint.

Some pictures attached.

Yeah, I shipped the original wheels down to make it a roller not realizing that they wouldn't fit the DSE spindles...so they threw those on for me smile.

I would just use original moldings and have them painted or have a good quality wrap applied to them. Cutting off the drip rails and oversized glass seems like a lot of work.

1967 Firebird 400 Convertible Montreux Blue/Light Blue top/Black interior. Maybe one of one color combination, if not, one of very few.
