Almost there! I have a cut orange and a cut yellow both hot from the INST LPS fuse (pic 1). I also have a cut yellow from the BAT with no home. The orange also coming from the BAT goes to my clock which works.
I also have an constant hot orange (but looks yellow) double spade (pic 2) that should go to lighter and then the glove box light, except I have a yellow bullet connector to my lighter now.
A Yellow is supposed to be for radio. I do have electric truck release (which is pink to trunk) but what plugs into the switch in the glove box?
BTW, I just purchased an ac wiring harness America Autowire FB85729 and it solved all my (previous owner hack job) questions I needed!
Yellow wire on left is from BAT (so, constant on and Orange from same source works for clock)
Next over is double spade Yellow hot on (from wiring diagram it should be lighter and glove box light)
Next Orange is constant hot from INST LPS
And then Yellow on right is key on hot on INST LPS
What I don't have is Radio and/or light, glove box light, glove box trunk release. Everything else works.
Bonus question: For a 68' w AC I have a Purple wire from AC harness that goes to blower motor. It seems all blower motors are 1 terminal, so the non-AC Orange stripped Black wire does not get plugged into the blower?
What a mess! Although my original dash harness was in good overall shape, I replaced with American Autowire harness. Will be a breeze to wire my car...FWIW...
Is your car an AC car, standard gauges? My original harness I still have.
