Hi, Does anyone have experience/tips in removing instrument cluster to replace speedometer light bulbs? thanks

Hi Have 69' sprint and am near Peterborough Ont, with regards to dash cluster light bulbs, these dash units are a bear to work on. If you can squeeze under the dash with the back of your head on floor you should be able to remove some of the bulbs. If that doesn't work for you, removal of dash intails dropping the steering column, removal of headlight switch know (threaded) screws around bottom of dash panel , under top of dash pad. Dash will move out only a few inchs, more movement is possible iwhen you remove speedo cable. Remove bulbs should be possible at this point,if you want to remove cluster removal of retaining screws is required. Good luck

In addition to the visible screws holding the instrument cluster on a 69, there is also a nut in the lower right corner that needs to be removed. You will need to reach under the dash to access this nut. It has been a couple of years since I did this on my car, so I don't remember all the details.
