I’m using an aftermarket hood tach with an MSD ignition. I used an MSD 8920 Tach Adapter to marry the tach and ignition. Tach works fine. The trouble is I mounted the tach adapter under the dash. Adapter makes an annoying buzzing sound relative to engine speed. Repeated questions to MSD have gone without response. Anyone encounter this issue? Thinking of relocating tach adapter under the hood but before doing so wondered if this was normal or if I should replace the adapter?

supposedly the clicking noise in the tach adapter is normal, never had one myself, but heard of them and the boxes making clicking or chirping noises, some say their does, some say theirs doesn't, MSD says it's normal ...go figure
