PCV valve removal. My car runs better when I block that port on the intake runner. Any wrong with NOT having PCV as long as I have a breather in one valve cover. I suppose I could maybe find a good port at the base of the carb…. Then all cylinders would run a little leaner instead of just one. I’d like to just do away with it.
X2. Better for the motor if gases are removed. If running a long duration camshaft you may have to use a valve from a high performance engine to better control the vacuum leak the valve creates. I’m using a Fram FV178. Valve was used with the most radical Chevy engines of the late 60’s, early 70’s.
X3 I know what you mean. If you don’t have the stock set up…manifold and elbow, you tend to lean out a cylinder.
I added a phenolic spacer under my carb. I drilled a hole (1/4”?) and added a nipple directly between the two front primary holes so that the hole opened into both primaries. It’s been working fine for years.
