Does anyone know how to disassemble a 67 tilt steering column?

I have it almost all torn down. I can't figure out how to disconnect the short tilt shaft from the long shaft. There is a u-joint like mechansim that connects them. I can't get the lower cover off either.

Can't find any info online. Lots of info on the non-tilt columns.

Not sure of the year and this is for a Camaro, but they are pretty much the same thing. Hope it helps

Thanks for the reply. The pre 69 columns are different due to no ignition switch in the column, although they are very similar.

My problem is how to get it apart. I have found diagrams for tilts on line but so far nothing on how to get it apart. It's a mystery. The non tilts come apart easily.
