Okay,

Can someone please explain to me what differentiate which Firebirds would get a colored (red/black) Firebird emblem and which cars got the plain Emblem? My 4 Firebirds ALL came with the plain ones and (67 Six Cylinder; 67 400, & (2) 68 400 ALL with the plain emblem.

Over the years the plastic inlays lose their grip in the emblem and fall out.
