Hello. I have 69 Firebird and company doing my car just putting in drip rail moldings. They are OER. They greased up rail, and said they went right on fairly easily. Drivers side perfect. Passengers side long rail from pillar to back 1/4 window was short by 1/2 inch. Measured drivers side and it is 47 1/2 inch , passengers side 47 inch. Called OER Technical department and they measured one on shelf and it was 47 passengers side like we one I got. Even weirder is I bought mine 8 months ago so you would think ones they have in stock would be different batch. Anybody run into this? And also. I see on here where many people would start at end by 1/4 window and go forward, and always have problems getting around bend. But I have spoke with several experienced shops that say that is incorrect way to do it and you are suppose to start at curve by 1/4 window. This terrible. Anybody have any information would be appreciated. Thanks. Also if anybody has a set that they could measure , the long back piece that goes from pillar back to 1/4 window , on TOP side. Sure would appreciate it.
