I just purchased a 1968 coupe with number matching 400 engine. It is a factory a/c car. Custom interior, turbo 400, console shift in Aleutian Blue, teal interior. How common or uncommon are the factory a/c cars with these options? It is a project car for me and my daughter to work on.
I can recommend the book "The definitive Firebird & Trans Am guide 1967-1969", written by Rocky Rotella. A great book if you want to learn more about early Firebirds. In this book you can also see how common or rare a certain option is. There are no figures on how common a combination of options is, however. I guess nobody can really tell.
It doesn’t have a 400 bumper or grills. You should get the PHS to see what it originally was if you haven’t already. If it’s a 400 car those are relatively rare and desirable.
