Well, its out. Pulled it out with the motor an bell still a unit. The reason I couldnt get the trans separated from the bell was simple electrolysis. Mix steel and aluminum with a little road salt over the years and viola! Welded. So I soaked the bell ring in penetrant for a few days, then took my MAPP torch to the input shaft plate edge. Round and round a few times, and with a rubber mallet, it broke free.... NEVER wouldve gotten that off from underneath...
