Thanks Dennis, I’ve since put more tire on the car, it’s still wheel spin crazy but a heck of a lot of fun to drive. Apart from ram air heads slightly ported to match the intake, TRW pistons and a moderate street/strip cam it’s pretty much factory. Even still running points in the video. I do have to mix the fuel to compensate for today’s s##t fuel and the compression. Ron
I think you forgot a word in the title....not........serious lack of traction, change the rear set up, springs etc to the set for convertibles, multi leaf with the two lower plates going all the way to the mounts and it'll grab n go, you seem capable of keeping it straight but that car doesn't want to, while it may look cool to be spinning and smoking the tires like crazy it's not due to major HP, is due to a lack of traction and it's not safe, they can grab suddenly at WOT, I know because I launched a car over a bridge once.
The car does have multi leaf springs, brand new, the two lower “plates” do go all the way to the mounts, which are new. A new Auburn posi unit. New 3:36 gears, new 255 60 15s, new wheels, brakes, drums, bearings etc. it was not me keeping in a strait line, it was the car. It tracks beautifully. And with plenty of HP. If you can’t say something nice…………..
