Were these used on our brake pedals for power brakes?

Looking at my 68 Factory Service Manual, chapter 5A for Delco-Moraine Power Brakes, there is an illustration of the Firebird brake pedal that shows this installed in the top hole of the brake pedal, with the pushrod clevis mounted in the lower hole.

I am converting my car over to a power disc brake setup from manual drums and I will be installing one of these clips on my pedal.

Is it the brake light switch striker?

It looks similar to this part on my '68 with power drum brakes but a slightly different shape.

Yeah. That looks like it. I want to find one so I won’t have to put my knee into my chest just to apply the brakes. Did a disc conversion a while back and never knew about it.

I see someone was looking for the same thing a few years back and used one from Heartbeat City. Maybe I’ll start there.
