Hi folks, I have a 1967 Firebird 400 with a turbo automatic I bought a year ago. I found out many problems with the car after the purchase , I hope to be driving it next year. I'm a pretty good shade tree mechanic, but at 71 years old everything takes longer to do.. I will be asking some questions and looking for some advice in the future. Thanks for having me as a member.

Beautiful! Good luck with it! If you have the original steering wheel and it’s not in the greatest shape. Have it resorted. It was expensive but so worth it!
I have a ‘68 firebird that’s restored. I know there are two trunk mats for these cars. Any idea which one is correct for this year? The black/gray houndstooth or the black/aqua one?

I have the original steering wheel in great shape, but I took the firebird out yesterday and find it difficult getting in and out of the car. I have to put a aftermarket steering wheel on. I have no choice. Too bad I didn't have the tilt wheel option.
I'm not sure, but my best guess would be the black and aqua. I have a new one (black and aqua) but I'm concerned about moisture getting under the mat. I have not installed it yet. I might cut out a piece of felt liner for a vapor barrier?
I have plenty of adjustment left to go back more. I'm only 5'8"& 190lbs. The problem is the steering wheel and my gut are too close. Do they make anything to lower the bucket seat? That would give me more room.
