Hello, I own a 67 firebird with a 428 swapped into it. It has an Offenhauser intake with dual Edelbrock carbs.
My problem is that I am having an extremely hard time finding an air cleaner that will clear the hood. I need something with a net height from the carb flange of 3in or less. Anything taller wont fit. I couldn't find any dual quad air cleaners less than 3.25". The only thing I have found so far that fits are 2x Mr gasket 1486 air cleaners. My concern is whether or not they will flow enough air or not as they are only 6.5" x 2". I took a quick measurement and my carbs are about 9" center to center. Any ideas?
