Hello Firebird Nation, I completed the LS swap on my '69 Firebird a few months back and want to replace the "400" badging bolted to the sides of my hood scoops. Does anyone know if they make replacement badging with the same bolt pattern that says 6.2L, LS3, or both? Just wanted to check with the group before pursuing CAD design to have them made. Thanks
The chance of finding the badges you want with the right mounting studs is pretty slim. What I would do is find the badges you like, grind off the mounting studs and attach them with 3M two sided tape. The "350" badges on my hood are mounted that way and have been on for over 10 years.
Thanks Hank, I had a feeling I wouldn't find any out there (been looking for a while), I did see the ones on Jegs you sent and some plastic badges on Amazon (and several other places) that look nice, but they aren't what I was hoping for. I just contacted the CAD developer to kick the project off. Go Packers!
They do make a variety of LS3 6.2 badges that are adhesive. I bought some Pontiac adhesive badging for the LS3 Engine cover in my 05 GTO and some LS3 6.0 badges. Found a wide variety on eBay.
I'm sure you've looked by now. But you might find something that will work that you can live with?
I've also been looking for places that will do custom badges, but that's not cheap.
