For a 1968 400 Convertible Solar Red dash pad.

Is the covering of the dashpad the same material as the interior? I think its Madrid Vinyl.

I have a roll of the original Deluxe Interior material, and it looks really close to the same pattern of the dash.

The reason for asking is that the material on the dash is brittle and cracks easily.

If it is the same material, It looks like it shouldn't be too bad to recover the dash. The underlying foam is still spongy and in tact.

I would rather give this a try than spending close to $2000 at just dashes - their shipping charges and color matching prices are outrageous.

Any thoughts are welcome.
