Its welded to 6x6 plates that are welded to the floor. I bent the whole thing up myself i have all the equipment. I have been doing roll cages and roll bars in cars since 1991. I have done many cars on long island.
That is what I thought. I bent up some 3/16" plates to reinforce the floors between the front and rear seat perches. Where the rear bars hit the wheel wells is dogging me. It's a convertible so I have limited space to fit the supports. Plus, I still need to be able to service the top mechanisms, so I retained the bolt-ins. What I cannot believe is that back in the day, they expected these roll bars to just bolt to the floor and wells. That sheet metal would rip out immediately.
What color blue is your car? OEM or a custom color. Pretty sharp.
