Please help, my sending unit quite working, I ordered one from Rock Auto size 3/8" it was to long, sent it back order 5/16" it also was to long, when saying long will not fit down in the tank, my old unit, which I replaced in 1997 measures 5-1/2" from Classic, the new ones are 6 1/4" long! Classic received new stock ordered one #6428845 which they show for 68 Firebird it also was to long measures the same as the one from Rock Auto. Thinking about order new tank and unit, but no one will make sure the sending unit will fit! Has anyone else had this problem if so what did you do!
