The design of the 1967 Ram Air exhaust manifold will not allow a bolt to go in. It seems like there should be a stud from the head to this one opening (see picture) as I can't see how a bolt goes in other than pre-mount the stud and then put on a nut. I can't find anything about a stud for the ram air exhaust to head. If you happen to know, please reach out. Thanks.
What does that entire manifold look like. I had thought the '67 RA used the same long branch manifold of the other 400HO and 400RA 1st gens and they don't look like that.
The length is not the issue. Plus I lined up a stud and I cannot even get a nut centered enough to thread on to the stud at any depth. Just does not seem like they would cast a header with a bolt hole alignment and not make it so a bolt could go in???
Thought about that but the head of the bolt or if a stud, the nut, still sits too close to the wall. What needs grind out an alcove to give the head/nut room to turn. Not there yet.
