Hi there, I’m about to start tearing into my 1967 firebird 400 convertible with a TH400. I’m seeking advice on what route to go with the engine. Being that I’m in England I’m looking for stock+ power but mainly reliability being that parts are hard to come by. Hit me up with the route you may take if you was in my shoe’s. Is there a kit out there you would choose? Thanks in advance Cameron

Do you even have a machine shop around that knows what they are doing? I just finished building a 400 for a guy here and its getting harder and harder to find parts. For instance, Hydraulic flat tappet camshafts are no longer being produced. Whatever is left on the shelf at a parts house is all that's left. Same with engine bearings, getting harder to find good -.010 and -.20 main bearings and rod bearings.
