I am attempting to install a front lower spoiler on my 69 that I bought from Classic Industries. I am looking for a bit on advice. Has anyone here installed one of these ABS plastic spoilers on the front of their 69s? If so, does it bolt to the lower valence, or to the lower air dam?
The part number in the Classic Industries catalog for it is K52000.
I'm about to install one myself, and took a peek under a 69 Camaro in order to check the correct installation. On that particular car, only the two outer rods were used (still not sure where the center, longer one goes). Also, the car didn't have any lower air dam, so the spoiler was attached to the lip of the valance panel with four smaller sheet metal nuts on the sides and two 5/16 thread clips in the center (the latter using existing holes in the valance).
The outer rods are attached using the bolts for the front inner fender/fender connection.
Oh, btw - Bjorn has one on his car. Tell him to crawl under with a camera (I already have...)
Thomas , I just sent Goran (Snow cruiser) a couple of pics this am....I`ll forward to you too....not that easy to get that low for me! lol, fat tummy and lowered front end, hope its what you need , but if not, I CAN get more..... this is a bargain ,no Shiner cost!
do they chatter at high speeds (100-120mph) without the support rods? I bolted one on my 69, along the bottom of the lower valence panel. Glues the nose to the road real good.

(I`ve hit mine on speed bumps a few times...no breakeage with the rods)
