hey guys i have a 67 bird and my drivers side rollup window is messed up.
It cranks up and down fine, although it will only go almost all of the way up and then the crank will turn freely and the window will not go all the way up.
So the the window won't close the last inch or so. I can push the glass up by hand and it will go up but then it sags back down.
do my regulators, or rollers or something need to be replaced?
Funny, mine does the same on my 68' except it "skips" the last bit,not allowing it to wind up the last inch or so and i have to pull it up by hand if need it up all the way.Personally i think my regulator is toast and was going to replace it.

You guessed it David, the regulator is toast. Luckily regulators are plentiful. I'd go with the Ames repop, or wait for them to show up on an eBay auction. I think there are differences with standard and deluxe interior regulators. While you have the panel off, grease the roller tracks and look for broken nylon rollers. I haven't done my doors yet, but I did do my 1/4 windows. Getting some lube in the tracks makes a big difference with ease of operation.
