When I bought my '68 the fenders had been replaced with ones not having any holes for the bird and Firebird emblems in front of the w.w. opentings. Anyone have the measurements for the spacings for each from the w.w. to the bumper? Or a template I could borrow? I also have an unrelated question. There is a vacuum can tucked away under the back of the left fender at the rear of the left inner fender well, what is this for? My car is a 400, w/automatic, A/C, cruise control. I haven't been able to find any documentation on that can. Right now without looking at it I can't tell you if it has one or two metal tubes sticking out the top for vacuum hose attachment. Looks like the size of a 2 lb. coffee can.

the can is for the a/c system.it holds vacuem so your vents will open when you put the air on.there should be 2 places on it for hoses to hook up to
