I want to put a white interior into my '67 because I intend to drive it and it's a non-A/C car. I've seen the door tops painted both black and white with the white interior. Which is correct? The GM (not Ditzler or Dupont) paint code sheet does NOT even list a white interior color so if white is correct, what is the paint code?
I would also be interested in any ideas any of you may have on a custom interior that doesn't depart too far from stock.
The tops are suppose to be white. I have some snapshots of the 400 coupe that I owned before my Sprint that had the Deluxe Parchment interior code. I can share them with you if you want. They do not show a whole lot though.
It would look strange to have black sections above the parchment door panels.

my 67 sprint conv has parchment interior and does indeed have black tops, albiet it is shiny black (so is the dash) hence I suspect this is _not_ original - But it does look fine, and I've lived with it for 10 years, and more importantly the wife likes it.
I have a 68- not sure how a 67 is supposed to look, but parchment and black go together very well. My original interior had a black dash and carpet with the parchment and it looked great.
Thank you all for the information. Would anyone have a paint code for the 60% gloss that goes on the door tops? I already shot the dash in the proper lacquer so I'm hoping to use something that will give me the same texture and sheen.
Also, does anyone have any tasteful suggestions for departing from stock?
I don't have the codes... but since you asked, the first things that came to mind was to take a parhcment sample in and get pain made to match, but to also use a pearl in the paint to better match the parchment's pearlessence? And if you do that I would go with a 100% gloss.
